Hello Ward IV,

First off, I’m writing this without Jill Parsons since I felt compelled to finalize my term by doing some housekeeping, one of which is to say goodby to all of you, at least as far as this newsletter is concerned.

I’m doing this because I want to express how much I’ve enjoyed the privilege of serving you, and how much I appreciate your subscription to this newsletter.   It tells me that Northglenn citizens are interested in getting information, and enjoy receiving it in as many ways as possible. When I conceived the idea for this newsletter 3 years ago and worked with city staff to make it a reality, I believed that this format could be a valuable tool in helping citizens to become more familiar with their government, the issues and concerns we all share.   It gave me the opportunity to communicate with you in a more timely way, giving you insight into what had either happened or was going to happen in Ward IV and in the city as a whole.  With well over 150 homes that subscribe, I believe others felt the same way, and found these newsletters informational.   So after a total of 28 newsletters published, I look on this venture as a success.    I sincerely hope it will continue to be utilized.

I’m planning on continuing my involvement with the city through my recent appointment to the Urban Renewal Authority, my work with seniors both on a local and state level, the Northglenn/Thornton Rotary, and the volunteering opportunities I’ve come to enjoy so much.   Hopefully, I’ll see many of you at some of the wonderful activities and events Northglenn has to offer.

Thank you for your continued support and friendship for the last four years.   I’ve enjoyed communicating with you all in this fashion, and hope that you will continue your desire to be connected to our city government.
