March 6, 2007
Hello Everyone:
We’re sorry this is coming to you so late, but we wanted you to know about a meeting on Wednesday night, March 7th that may be of interest to you.
RTD is conducting this meeting for the northern suburbs focusing on identifying issues and opportunities surrounding proposed rail station locations, and working to address community concerns such as noise, traffic, pedestrian safety, and property values. This is part of the Environmental Impact Study currently ongoing for the North Metro Line of FasTracks.
The meeting will take place at Margaret Carpenter Recreation Center, 11151 Colorado Boulevard in Thornton beginning at 5:30p.m. and continuing until 8:30p.m. I’m sure coming in late is OK if you can’t get there at 5:30.
City Sponsored FasTracks Meeting
There will be a follow up discussion to the above meeting on Wednesday, March 14th at 12301 Claude Court, the City’s Maintenance and Operations Building. This meeting will begin at 6:30p.m.
The agenda will be:
1) Where we are in the Environmental Impact Study
2) Review station planning
3) New FasTracks options regarding our city property in Weld County and a possible station at 104th and Colorado Blvd
4) “Quiet zones” and supplemental safety measures
We hope you are able to attend one or both of these meetings. Call Terence (303-450-8937) or Kae (303-450-8949) if you have questions.
At your service,
Rosie Garner and Jill Parsons
