Hello Ward IV:

First of all, we want to personally welcome you to “@ Home in Ward IV”. We hope that this forum for communication will be informative, fun, and most important, will grow and expand in our community. We ask you to tell your friends and neighbors about this site, and encourage them to subscribe. We’ll be saying that over and over during the coming months because we really need your help to successfully launch this project.

JUST IN:
As many of you may already know, the ballot question regarding the new recreation center remodeling and additions was defeated by only 13 votes last night. Since the election is considered a “squeaker”, there will be a mandatory recount within the next 10 days. Stay tuned for information regarding the final outcome. What we have learned in this particular election is the importance of each and every vote. When elections are this close, the fate of many city issues is determined by a very small segment of our city’s residents. In this case, approximately 2500 votes were cast citywide, with nearly 40% cast by voters from Ward IV. We’ve always known that Ward IV has a significant impact on the outcome of any city election, and this one certainly was no different. Check out the city’s website for the breakdown of how each Ward voted.

Once again, please print this message and share it with your neighbors if they have no computer. If they just haven’t subscribed yet, please help us to spread the word. If any of you have information you’d like us to share, let either of us know, via email or phone, and we’ll print it for you.

Happy Trails . . . .until next time.
