The really fun part of this is the free “drive-in” movie at the same theater location on Friday night the 28th at 6:30P to celebrate the groundbreaking. This time the weather looks great. You can either watch the movie in lawnchairs or blankets, or you can pull your car into the field for a real old fashioned drive-in experience. The movie is “The Princess Bride”. I really don’t care what the movie is. . I just love the idea of doing it.
Hope to see you there !!
The Sentinel came out with their endorsements in the last 10 days and the Mayor is recommended for her second term along with James Miller for Ward I, Gaye Monroe for Ward II, Robin Tichy (the incumbent) for Ward III and Jill Parsons for our ward. Once again I am encouraging you to vote if you haven’t already. If anyone needs a ride to the polls on November 1st I’d be happy to provide pickups and returns. Just call me the night before or during the voting hours on Tuesday.
I recently saw the completed bench in honor of former Councilmember Ken DeMay who passed away this past spring. It’s extremely well done and is located in a special place along the trail on the north side of the canal between the Kennedy entrance bridge and the large parking lot. As a strong supporter of open space, this is a fitting tribute to his memory and contribution.
More after the election . . . .just be sure to VOTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
